Save the Children is a federation of 29 member organizations and a Secretariat, based in London, coordinates the efforts of members in a number of key strategic areas. One initiative, the stronger member key challenge aims to strengthen the organization’s presence in countries of key importance. This team is establishing a capability in the Gulf Region.
Save the Children is looking for a senior executive to become Director of Gulf Partnerships to lead the income growth from the region by developing relationships with key influencers and donors in the Gulf States in order to secure significant funding for Save the Children’s programme efforts; strategically managing existing high-value relationships in the Gulf; maximizing on all profile raising opportunities for Save the Children in the region; and, developing strong cross organizational working partnerships with existing programme and member offices in the region. The candidate will have an excellent knowledge of the region, have a proven track record of delivering results, researching and initiating new business opportunities, possess the credibility to build and manage senior partner relationships. The candidate should be an excellent communicator, demonstrate the ability to motivate, network and negotiate effectively internally as well as within region. The candidate will possess an empathy with the values and programme work for Save the Children. Full command of the English language is a must; fluency in Arabic would be an advantage. The role requires extensive travel and would be based in Dubai, UAE.
